Ulysse Nardin Diver Chronometer Great White Limited Edition

Ulysse Nardin launched new Diver Chronometer collection watches at the Monaco Yacht Show. The new Diver Chronometer redefines functional elegance with its audacious design. A diving watch crafted to withstand up to three hundred meters of potentially deadly water pressure, its inverted, concave bezel with domed sapphire glass is a breakthrough in exquisite watchmaking.

The face heralds the mechanical marvel of the UN-118 movement with its silicium technology - a specialty of the Manufacture - within its 44 mm case, visible through the open back. Superluminova on the indexes and hands makes the hours and minutes visible not only in the dark of night but also at great depths. The face is adorned with a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock and a date and small seconds at 6 o’clock, all nestled within the unidirectional rotating bezel.

The numbers on the face have been redrawn to read 0-15-30-45. Even the rubber and titanium strap of the Diver has been cleverly reworked with the clasp replaced by a pin buckle and streamlined with just one easily identifiable Ulysse Nardin signature “element”.  Sturdy, blue rubber guards protect the crown. In addition to the deep blue and all-black versions, the new Diver Chronometer line includes the Diver Great White and a Monaco Limited Edition.

The Diver Great White, with a great white shark stamped on the case back, is emblematic of the Ulysse Nardin philosophy. King of the oceans, the shark represents stealth, strength and strategy and the Diver Great White embodies these qualities in contemporary adventurers of the land and sea. The Diver Great White is a limited edition of 300 pieces.

New Additions to the Ulysse Nardin's Marine Torpilleur Collection

Launched in 2017, the Marine Torpilleur is the new flagship of Ulysse Nardin’s marine-inspired collections. Inspired by Ulysse Nardin’s marine heritage yet fully modernized for daily urban wear, the Marine Torpilleur is supremely comfortable on the wrist and a delight to the eye. A true Captain’s chronometer, COSC and Ulysse Nardin Certified, it represents contemporary watch design in its finest hour—the culmination of generations of craftsmanship and savoir-faire.

Initially launched with white or blue dials, the Marine Torpilleur fleet is now reinforced with two stunning new editions: rose gold with black and gold dial; and a Boutique-only version in stainless steel with grey dial.

Elegantly elongated Roman numerals mark the hours. The graceful, poire-style hands are in rose gold colour, as are the ‘Haut’ (high) and ‘Bas’ (low) indications of the power reserve. The crown is screw-down and engraved with the Ulysse Nardin logo. The small seconds counter at 6 o’clock encircles the date window and the red “1846” logo—a stylish nod to the year the house was founded. The luxury straps are in perfectly matched alligator.

Powered by the Marine Chronometer’s self-winding in-house UN-118 movement with 60-hour power reserve (indicated on a counter at 12 o’clock) and proprietary Silicium anchor escapement, the 42mm case has been completely redesigned, with lighter, more elongated lugs, a thinner fluted fixed bezel, and a much thinner flange framing the dial.
