Glashütte Original Senator Cosmopolite Stainless Steel

Glashütte Original Senator Cosmopolite is designed to meet the complex demands of today's world travelers. First introduced in 2015 in red and white gold versions, the cosmopolitan masterpiece from Glashütte Original is available from 2018 in an elegant stainless steel version as well.

Thanks to the sophisticated 89-02 manufactory movement, the Senator Cosmopolite displays the time of day in two time zones at once, without the wearer having to make any calculations himself. A time zone ring offers a choice among all 35 world time zones currently in use, each represented by the official IATA code for an international airport located in the relevant time zone.

Dark blue poire hands glide along their paths over the matte white dial with nonchalant ease – passing, among other things, new blue Arabic numerals and indexes. Black details offer striking accents in the various displays – the Glashütte Original Panorama Date, for example, the power reserve display, or the stylised starry night sky of the day/night display at 9 o'clock. Two slender windows are positioned harmoniously in the curve of the dial at 8 o'clock; they indicate the destination, using the IATA codes in one of three colours, taking Daylight Saving and Standard Time into account. The bright silver threads circumscribing the two auxiliary dials, too, combine understatement with incisiveness, nicely complementing the alternately satin-brushed and highly polished 44 mm stainless steel case, itself enhanced by a dark blue Louisiana alligator leather strap with pin buckle or foldover clasp.

Supplied with energy from an off-centre rotor, 89-02 has a power reserve of at least 72 hours and provides high operational stability by means of a regulator–free regulation system with swan-neck spring. Last, but not least, the sapphire crystal case back offers an excellent view of the superb decorative finishings and characteristic details of the fine art of German watchmaking, including Glashütte stripe finish, blued screws and the precious handengraving and bi-colour galvanisation of the balance cock.
